Since 1984 the Centre has been constituted as a company limited by guarantee, and the company is a registered charity. Responsibility for the management of the Centre lies with the Council of Management, whose members are chosen to reflect a wide cross-section of experience. Council meetings are attended by counsellor-representatives working at the Centre. All members of the Council contribute their services voluntarily.
The Centre is directed by Lois Elliott, the staff includes a client services co-ordinator, supervisors, receptionists and administrative staff in addition to 35 to 40 counsellors. The training programme staff include a head of training, course consultant, external moderator, panel of readers, tutors, group conductor, and supervisors.
Council of Management: Mrs Kay Preston (Chairman), Dr Janet Seargeant (Vice-Chairman), Dr. Batia Friedman, Mrs Vivien Wilkinson, Mr Stephen Radford, meetings are attended by two representatives of the Centre’s staff.
